Why do most females hate Computer Science?

Just wondering why there is hardly any girls in any Computer Science class. What is it about this subject that girls seem to avoid? Seriously, most of the Computer Science classes me and my friends have seen/been in are almost always 100% guys. WHY?

HI big issue with this topic is this thing is just plain stupid, it has taken man till now some 40 years just to get to this stage with this so called wonder of the 20 th and 21st century and in the home it is currently just 30 years old and still most operating systems are very geeky if they work at all.
so it has become male dominated mostly by the male as he is trying his best to dominate this like he has dominated most things in the last 2000 years.
so why would he admit now and girls let him dominate and by time it gets to useful he will have sorted out all the worst bits about it.
we are really in the infancy of the technology so why has most of the books on the subject just disappeared because people need to get down an read and understand how to just switch the idiot thing on.
We have some thousands of years to conquer this technology and as soon as we can get away from the people who just want to screw over the cost of an operating system the better.
that is why it is not really progressing because some stupid person just wants to make money out of it and can’t see this has a much wider field to cover typical male dominated item and ego.

Women are not encouraged to enter that particular field, but I do know a few female CS majors.

I’m female and a software engineering major…usually I’m the only girl in a class of 40 males =/

Its not a very interesting “nurturing” field lol Plus there’s loads of math…math isn’t that interesting of a subject either.
