so… what can I get into? and what could help improve my chances?
How about Tufts? Cornell? NYU? UMass? Purdue? Oberlin? Carnegie Melon? Schools like those. And by the way, my senior grades are predicted, I’m merely a junior, but I think I’ll do really well next year
by they way, I live in Massachusetts, and I’m white. I’m saying that to show that I’m not a minority. I’m also a first generation American, so I moved here from a country in Europe that I don’t want to disclose.
If you are a minority you might get in. If you are just a plain White boy, forget it.
USC isn’t that hard to get into, so yeah you’re pretty much a sure shot there. Only 53% of students had a GPA or 3.7 or higher.
UCB you have a really good chance but it all depends on the competition. 93% of students had a GPA of 3.7 or higher, so it’s harder to get into than USC.
MIT is a maybe. You really need straight A’s throughout all high school to get in. You did really well your last 2 years, which are the most important, so you still have a shot, just not as good a shot as at UCB and USC.
If you’re a senior, shouldn’t you have applied already? It’s really hard to get into Berkeley and USC from out of state, so you probably won’t get into those. MIT is a possibility, but choose your other schools well because MIT is one of the most selective schools in the country.
How did you get a 750 on your Physics subject test?! It all looks good. But I would apply to Berkeley and USC only. They accept students like you almost always. you wo’t wasting your time and money. MIT is so hard to get in. Students get perfect scores on the SATs and 790+ on all SAT Subject test and ae not accepted.
Ohh, yeah!
Its late may now. Most colleges’ applications were supposed to be sent out by January-February.
