If you write like a type writer, you can use an OCR program.

Handwriting will require you to alter the OCR program with a “Font” recognition of your handwriting… And my handwriting for one is far too unpredictable to do this.

Scanned notes cannot be converted into a text document..
The notes need to be scanned with an OCR (optical character recognition) program.
“J” is correct in that your notes would need to be very near typewriter perfect for good results or almost as neat as the font used here.
OCR systems require calibration to read a specific font so a program would need to be “trained” to recognize your handwriting.

Nick Stokes might be able to help you out. Oh yeah. He’s a fictional person – but so is a computer program that can read hand written text.

You will have to type your notes to get them on your computer as text.
