I posted this in the Higher Education section:

But that’s not the most frequented section, so I’ll post it here too.

I am hoping to get into the Life Sciences program at the University of Toronto St. George campus. Their cutoff is mid-80′s according to this “For Grads Only” book I was given by my school. I have an 88% average right now…what are my chances of getting in?
And how much do they weight grade 11 marks?
Here are my individual course grades if it helps (for this year, gr. 12).
Chemistry 83
English 84
Computer Science 92
Biology 91
Calculus 91
Advanced Functions 86
My school is on terms, so we did Adv. Functions for half the year, and now we are doing calculus…there is a reasonable sample size behind my 91 in calculus though. Btw, I go to a fairly competitive private school.
Thank you in advance for any help/advice you can give.
That’s ok lol I’m sure you’re smart
Thank you Ad. I have heard the same thing about how they really wait to give you acceptance. Thanks for the heads up about the supplementary forms. I heard there’s a whole thing about the college you get into that you have to fill out.
If I was smart enough to know the answer, I would not be here on Y!A. Sorry I couldn’t help.
I know that grade 11 marks do not contribute to the decision at all. Grade 11 marks are only used for early admission. You have a really good chance as long as you don’t screw up the supplementary forms. Put alot of effort into them, because they could just get you a scholarship too. A few of my friends go there and they didn’t recieve an offer until late April or May, so just be patient.
