Why do I have so many Java 6, Java 2 and J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 on my computer?
I have been looking at ways to free up some memory and I notice that each of these updates use ~ 140MB of memory. I have Java 6 with 7 separate updates. On the Java 2 Runtime Environment there are 3 different versions. Now the J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 has updates 2-10. Can I delete some of these old files without interfering with my current computers settings. Obviously I do not understand what Java or the J2SE Runtime Environments do. Is there a good college with both graphic design and computer science majors?
So, basically, I want to find a good college that has majors in both computer science /and/ graphic design. Now, I realize that wanting to have a friend attend the same college is no basis for choosing a good college, but we’d love to find one that we could both attend. She’s majoring in graphic design, while I’ll majoring in computer science. Do you know of any *good* colleges offering majors (undergraduate and/or graduate) in both areas? I forgot to mention that I’m in the US.
Should I pursue a masters in computer science, or in software engineering?

What do you learn when you major in computer science?
I keep on researching and researching, but I really am not that clear. I want to be a web developer and people tell me to major in computer science. I don’t want to program software. I just want to develope websites (php, javascript, etc.) I also want to learn HTML5 and CSS3 but I guess I do that on my own time.
