What is IPO in computer science?
can someone please tell me the meaning of IPO in the following statement. It is for computer science class. Carefully read and analyze the problems, identifying the key information needed to design the solutions, and then create your IPO, hierarchy, and pseudo-code documents. Use those to implement your code, and test the resulting programs carefully for accuracy of results.
As a college student considering Computer Science, what books do you recommend for me?
I want to gain more knowledge and information in this field. I have always been interested in computers and technology, but don’t know if I would like it. I bought a programming book, but am looking for something that will give a general overview.

Is Neumont university a decent school?
I have got some letters from them and have been researching this school that is located in salt lake city, for a while now. I was wondering if it is a decent school to go for computer science. They also say the average salary out of school is 60,000. Which is very nice. I have found some things online that say it is a respectable school.
What should I major in?
I’m confused..I need to really think about this so I can focus on what colleges to visit and then apply to. I write well and I do enjoy it, but it depends on the topic. Do you think the branch of Mathematics, ALGEBRA has any relationship with COMPUTER SCIENCE?
In Algebra, there are formulas. For ex: a^2 -b^2 = (a+b) (a-b) which can be styled as “software” in Computer. If you apply the formula to 103×97 = (100+3)(100-3)= 100^2 – 3^2 = 10000-9 = 9991, you get a faster answer. This is called “application software” What are your views on this.
Help with comp sci/programming?
I’m in a computer science class, but it’s very self-guided and independent. Problem is, I’m not getting anything whatsoever out of it, since … nothing is actually explained. Can anyone help tutor me? I was thinking of using instant messaging, at least until I get a firm basic foundation down. Or are there any sites/books you’d recommend to help get this novice programmer on her feet? [And I have no idea whether this is blindingly obvious or not, but I'm studying Java.]
Are there any good online colleges for Computer Technology?
Are there any colleges out there that offer online classes for things related to computer technology? IE Computer Science, Software engineer, that kind of thing? Everywhere I read I am told online colleges suck, but there have to be a few gems out there right?
