What did Herman Cain contribute to computer science?

By admin on April 1, 2012

My friend who is a computer science major has been wondering about this. There is really no way of knowing that he was a competent programmer. I know for a fact that Gingrich has done absolutely nothing for history other than make a mockery of it and that’s because I’m familiar with academic history. Cain didn’t do anything for C++ or the original C language.

Advantages of taking AP United States History?

By admin on March 15, 2012

I want to become a computer science major. Why should I take APUSH? I’ve already taken AP European History, and got a 5. What does AP American do? I’m already enrolled in AP Spanish, AP Chem, and AP Computer Science, and APUSH is a lot of work, and I don’t want to put the majority of my effort into something that is not critical to my major. Also, the teacher who teaches it, though brilliant, gives tons of homework and overprepares you for the test (she actually writes the questions and grades Read more [...]

What do you think of Amy Chua and tiger mommying?

By admin on March 13, 2012

The professor is irrelevant. IMHO. I think Amy Chua is a totallly unimportant person, a narcissist who wants her children to achieve the perfection she never could. What is wrong with American education is not a matter of Confucian education and prepping for entrance exams. American students know nothing- they do not read, think, or question. Their parents know nothing at all about history. Students care only about immediate gratification- the larger world of thought, history, and science is of Read more [...]
