Where do I look for a scholarship?

By admin on May 13, 2012

I need a scholarship. I just found out the deadline for my school was March 1st. I tried to see if I could send a late application and they told me no. I don’t work, I am a full-time student. I am getting straight A’s right now. I am studying computer science. I am not sure where to start looking for some sort of private scholarships? Any suggestions or websites would be very helpful.

By admin on May 13, 2012

In the beginning my first two scores where a 70, 76 and another 70. After that i promised i would never fail! I got an 80, 90, and then i got a consecutive score of 3 100, and a 90, and then a 80… Read more [...]

What should I major in college?

By admin on May 13, 2012

Sorry for asking this again but here goes nothing. Hey all, I am a 20 year old John Abbott College student who is planning to switch from computer science into something else because of 2 bad teachers who completely make my life miserable(and I completely suck at programming regardless of the fact that I had a peer tutor). The thing is, I’m not sure what I am supposed to go into because there are many options, my mom suggested things such as Information and Library Technologies, Social Science/Commerce(Due Read more [...]

By admin on May 12, 2012

If I want to go into computational physics in graduate school, but no school that I live around offers it as an undergraduate degree, would it be an appropriate substitute to double major in computer science and physics? No school offers engineering physics in my vicinity.

Quality School vs. Internships?

By admin on May 12, 2012

Hello, I am a college student living in Washington. I currently go to a community college and am wondering if I should transfer to a school out-of-state or not. My intended major is aerospace engineering and I am also considering computer science. What a coincidence! Both Boeing and Microsoft are right next door. I want to transfer to a school in California like USC or Berkeley (i know how difficult this is) because they are awesome schools and I want to escape Washington for awhile. However, Read more [...]

I have still have a couple more years before I graduate, but I’m not really even sure what kind of degree I should look into. Electrical engineering? Robotics? Something medical? I am currently a senior in high school just on the brink of sending in my application to the University of Washington, and I am hoping to major in Computer Science and Engineering. My high school does not offer any programming classes whatsoever, and until now my parents have been pushing for me to become a doctor, which I now realize I might not really want to do.
