How hard is it to transfer to MIT or Stanford for grad school? I’m currently a sophomore at UT Austin, majoring in computer science. I have all A’s and currently in the top 2% in the majority of my classes, I’m fairly active in my schools robotics team, research, etc. How many people have transferred to MIT or Stanford from another college.
Thanks.

You have to be a genius to go to MIT i’ve heard.
When you attend grad school, you don’t transfer into a program. You finish your undergrad and apply to grad school, like the difference between high school and college. Most schools recommend you don’t go to the same school for undergrad and grad school.
Grad school admission rates often seem a bit higher than undergrad admission rates, but it’s deceiving – the competition is much higher. You’ll be competing against students with major publications, patents, tons of research experience. You’ll have a good shot at the top schools, but it’s always impossible to know for sure.
